Havelock island port blair

Havelock island :

The island is named after Henry Havelock who was a British general active in India. It has many beaches for the tourists to explore. Beach no.7 which is on the western coast is known as 'Radha Nagar' Beach and is very popular among tourists. Other notable beaches are Elephant Beach on the northwestern coast and Vijaynagar beach (No. 5), Beach no. 3 and Beach no. 1 on the east coast. The Havelock island also comprises of five villages which are Govinda Nagar, Bejoy Nagar, Shyam Nagar, Krishna Nagar and Radha Nagar.


Wandoor

Wandoor :

It is a small village near south tip of south Andaman. It has beaches and is a nice place to relax and enjoy. It also provides a gateway to the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. Nearby Wandoor u can do snorkeling at Jelly Bouy / Red skin island. People who don't want to swim can hire glass bottom boat to view the coral-reefs.


Baratang island

Baratang island :

Baratang islands is an island in Andaman and Nicobar and is situated at around 90 km from Port Blair. At Baratang islands, you can see Mud Volcanoes, mangrove and tropical forests, Limestone caves, Parrot island and one nice deserted beach with Havelock island view.


Jelly bouy island

Jolly Bouy island :

Jelly Bouy iland is located inside Mahatma Gandhi Marine national park. The water here is a mixture of both shallow and deep waters. The sand is here is almost white with canopies and bushes. This island is perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. It has a a very rich and colorful fauna and a fantastic marine life. It is at a 30km distance from Wandoor and can be reached by boats. Plastic use is restricted over here.


Radhanagar beach havelock

Radhanagar beach Havelock :

Radhanagar beack is located around Havelock islands. It is at a distance of 3km from Havelock islands. It is one of the most popular attractions of the island. It is also referred to as beach no. 7 and has earned 'The Best Beach in Asia' in 2004. The beach is extremely gorgeous and the water here is pristine, clear and blue. When you walk on the shore you can hear the sound of waves gently splashing on the beach. The view of sunset is really amazing here. Visitors can also enjoy swimming and snorkeling here.
